I am a tad nicer to my pastor and fellow congregants, but that is likely because he merits the title and listens as well as he is wise and works 🦉💪 and they follow like diligent and loving Bereans 👩‍🏫❤️

There is certainly an argument to be made that I am a bitter axe grinder, but my admittedly sharpened axe is set at the base of dead trees that good natured folk try to keep in the yard out of nostalgia and hope. I have a duty to God that His house and His bride there dwelling are not leveled when it falls in the inevitable storms.

Perhaps I could include a way out for those trying to shelter under the tree, but some trees are so brittle that the arborist would tell you to pick another tree or plant a new one.

Each church has redeeming potential if not qualities, but--as we frequently discuss--the pastoral job is all but impossible, as it is currently structured.
